December 14, 2009
For THIS year anyway, 2010 mark’s our 10th year to helping keep the lake cleaner and better for the greater Dallas park users.
Keep these date’s handy for 2010 Every second Saturday!
We got cold but we also got the trash!!!
Thanks to the Keep Texas Beautiful
Thanks to the For the Love of the Lake and also and most of all…
Thanks for all the volunteers we had from last January thru December
Without your spirit, energy, and zest for trash, we’d never be able to enjoy such an incredible cool and clean resource so close to this large urban area we call Big D.
YOU ALL ROCK!!!!!
December 4, 2009
You to can be a course guide!! It’s just something we do every year to help support the For the Love of the Lake Group, and go have fun watching the runners enjoy their early morning run in Dallas.
We have the split between the 1/2 and the full, so lots of folks count on us to NOT make then run farther than 13 miles!!! NO JOKE!!!
Meet at the Starbucks in Casa Linda 6:30am and we’ll hand out T’s and hot drinks before the convoy to ….
at mile 9.06 McCommas and Central and 9.07 McCommas and McKinney same as last year!
and be on station till about 10:15 then back to the real world with a T shirt and hopefully a good memory of volunteerism to finish out 2009!
