Seems I called out the Lewisville FD and I also said that was their training dummy…. remember from the last LLELA post…
And as luck would have it….I was wrong…completely so my apologies to the fine folks at the Lewisville Fire Dept…in fact those good people got me on video too.
If you zoom in you can see me in the shadow of the tree…
Lewisville actually rescued the training dummy for the Garland FD!
Here is the official info
And so we still have no idea exactly how a full size training aid…broke free but I can tell you it was a great day to get wet!
Thats it for your Monday update!

Yes it was a Elm Fork kind of day…and by that I mean you never know what the river will show you.
So right after we pushed off we looked up and saw this…..
Nope not what your thinking…its a training dummy from the Lewisville Fire Dept…they were working on rescue and recovery with their drone.
Interesting start to the day!
The water was way below the bridge..and we didn’t get far up the historic channel either…but we did get downstream!
This angle makes it look really steep downstream too
Thankfully the water was a cool relief to the July heat!
And we always like to put our best foot forward for our paddle guest!
And after a refreshing dip and a light snack we hit the paddle trail again!
So Thanks to all our paddle friends for making the 1st downriver of 2019 a really fun day on the water!
