It was a cool morning in McKinney,

the wind was light but the sky was dark….until that is…..

                                      Until the racers were unleashed at 7:31am……….

Some swam fast and some swam

slow but one common thread…they all started on GO!

The raced through the water fast as

they can, hoping to not be…. the last woman or man…

But in spite of the water with the wind and the waves

                        all racers did finish….. this race with a brave

                 and newfound sense of warrior

                                                              of fighter

or graceful disdain

of each of these kayakers…….                who helped with their pain!
