A real success! …
Thanks to our volunteers who paddle with
KAYAKPOWER!
Like Karen who not only found trash…she found treasure!!
In the form of a fossil, way cool ..
Just another reason, to drag
out of bed and brave the wind
and waves and come have
fun with us and save the
planet..one lake at a time.
OK.. I lied
the water didn’t have a single ripple from one
end of the lake to the other
Unless of course….
We were making them!
but despite these conditions we still did our thing ……
We got bags….
And we got trash…….
and we got
bulk trash…
And more…in fact, there were also volunteers that
did shore, trail and all around ground duty too..
THANKS!!
We gathered trash from the base of
the dam all through the park… and
all the way around to the bike trail
too!
And what blog would be complete with out proof of our
hard work, maximum…. ahem…..….. effort?
And lots of trash went straight to the dumpster too,
so a question…
Can 15 people armed with supplies, kayaks & desire
make a difference in the local environment, can they show
by their actions they care and say “you should too?”?
Please feel free to share your answer at any of these fun,
outdoor, educational and FREE events with KPC…
